JUG Chennai had  a JavaFX Seminar by Stephen Chin on 5th of May,2012. Since most of the participants were returning from JavaOne, they were all filled with enthusiasm as well as were eager to be  a part of this community and contribute to towards Open Source. Steve enlightened the JUG members with JavaFX and Scene builder, he introduced different ways in which one can easily pick up JavaFX as the one stop for all their GUI needs and build upon it. The session was followed by a hands on lab where Steve helped the JUG member to design and build an application using Scene Builder and Netbeans IDE. During the presentation Steve also introduced the participants to some of the JVM languages(i.e Groovy,Scala,Visage) that can be used in order to make JavaFX Applications.This did ease out many developers who have already been using the above languages for their daily work. All together this was a really great and vibrant session after JavaOne.
